Dear Hopewell City Public Schools Families,
We are reaching out to let you know that an employee who was present at a school has tested positive for COVID-19. The individual is a staff member at Carter G. Woodson Middle School and was last at school on October 8th. In partnership with the health department, we encourage anyone who was present at the school on October 5-8 to monitor their symptoms and reach out to their primary care provider if they have any concerns. Individuals can also contact the Crater Health District's COVID-19 hotline at 804-862-8989. If any individuals are identified through the contact tracing process, they will be contacted directly by the health department.
The health and safety of our students, staff, families, and community is our top priority. We continue to work in close collaboration with Hopewell City and the health department to serve the well-being of the Hopewell community.
