Dear Hopewell Families,
As we prepare for the start of our unique, yet magical school year, we first acknowledge how difficult these last six months have been on our parents, students, staff, and entire Hopewell community. We deeply empathize with members of our Hopewell family who have experienced unfathomable pain, sacrifice, and loss as a result of this global pandemic, and want you to know that we see you, feel you, and will continue to stand with you in the year ahead!
On Tuesday, each of us will be embarking on a brave new virtual learning journey that will require a deeper level of courage, love, grace and hope.
Courage
Our mission to create transformational student learning experiences has never been bound to the physical walls of our schools or the traditional structures in which we have been conditioned. We will continue to courageously explore, take risks, fail forward, and grow as we learn new and engaging ways for our students to communicate, collaborate, and innovate together.
Grace and Love
There will inevitably be moments when the internet may go down, teaching and learning doesn’t go how we envisioned, and the challenges of everyday life just feel overwhelming. Instead of turning away, we must lean into these trying times, PAUSE, give ourselves a little grace, and remember that “great learning looks and feels like love.”
Hope
Hopewell is The City of Hope, and we will not surrender to the fears of the unknown. Instead, we will rise to the occasion, seize the moment, and collectively join together, to write the next chapter of our incredible story. As we navigate the uncharted waters of this global pandemic, we cling wholeheartedly to our promise of “Unwavering HOPE, Until All Of The Children Are WELL.”
Finally, as we officially begin our school year next week, we want you to rest in the fact that we are not only in this together, but we will figure it out! We look forward to this journey, and have every confidence that in partnership with our families and community, we will be stronger and better as a result of it. We appreciate you, we love you, and we’re excited to have our students back on Tuesday! We have missed them so much and are sincerely grateful for your continued trust, confidence and support. Let’s do this! Remember, with #Hopewellmagic, we can VIRTUALLY do ANYTHING!
