Foundation Facts
The Hobart Educational Enrichment Foundation is a non-profit,
community-based organization that is dedicated to the enhancement of educational
opportunities in the Hobart Public Schools.
The Hobart Educational Enrichment Foundation was established on
May 20, 1986. The original impetus for starting the foundation came from a group
who believed that the quality of life in a community is directly related to the
quality of its educational system.
The Foundation consists of eleven trustees representing a cross
section of the community. It is the responsibility of the Trustees to raise
funds for the Foundation and administer the funds to benefit the Hobart Public
School System.
Income from the donated funds will be utilized to enhance the
educational programs for children in Kindergarten through Senior High in the
Hobart Public Schools. Funds are allocated through the use of local competitive
grants. Some examples of how income may be used include: Adopt- An-Author,
Hands-On Geography, Computerized Science, Physics and Chemistry Inquiry Lab
Kits, Guest Artists, Art, Drama and Musical Productions, Academic Competition
Medals, and many other programs.
The Hobart Public Schools Educator Hall of Fame Program is a new component of HEEF. Ed Newcomer, a 1957 graduate of Hobart Public Schools, has established a fund through HEEF solely for the purpose of recognizing individuals for significant contributions made to the Hobart Public Schools. Ben Newcomer owns and operates Ben Newcomer Construction in Norman, Oklahoma.

Foundation Future
Your financial help is needed now to enhance the quality of
educational opportunities in the Hobart Public School System.
Our goal is $100,000 within the next five years. Why not commit
our money and community resources to our own schools? Make a gift that will help
thousands of young people and will be a perpetual benefit to the youth of our
community, to your children, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, friends, and
countless others.
Persons interested in planned giving should consider memorial
gifts, tributes, trusts, and making provisions in their wills.
