My name is Ginger Rutherford, and I am thrilled to be part of the Hartselle Intermediate School family!  I grew up in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, but my family and I moved to Hartselle in 2022.  I attended The University of West Alabama for my undergraduate and graduate studies.  In addition to teaching 6th grade at HIS, I have been an adjunct professor at my alma mater since 2016.  In 2011, I married my husband, Matthew, and we have 4 amazing children together:  Mack, Kaiser, Ace, and Hadley.  A Doberman named Copper completes our family and keeps us on our toes.  Outside of school, you can usually catch me at a ballpark following our children's many sports teams, swimming, reading, or cheering for The University of Alabama!  I also love decorating and planning celebrations.  I look forward to the upcoming school year and hope to help your child learn to love English as much as I do!
