    CTE prepares K-12 students for career pathways in the global marketplace by offering experiential learning, post-secondary credits and industry certifications.  It also provides them with essential leadership skills through participation in student organizations. 

    Students develop leadership, technical, and high-level academic skills, equipping them for workforce opportunities and to be lifelong learners.

  • The vision of  Hartselle City Schools Career and Technical Education Program is to create a culture of learning that encourages all students to identify, select, and pursue a career pathway to develop 21st Century skills in order to confidently and successfully transition into a post-secondary career or education. 

    • To promote the development of critical thinking and transferable skills which will assist the student in solving both life and technical problems.

    • To maintain an educational environment which prepares students with the skills for in-demand careers and to compete in a highly technical and global economy.
