Required Student Supplies

  • Art I:

    • Wooden No. 2 pencils- Buy a large pack.  A set of drawing pencils is a great option, but is not required. (Mechanical pencils can be used later for technical drawings, but the students must have wooden pencils.)
    • Erasers- Buy several pencil-top or handheld erasers to last the year.  Pink Pearl erasers are one brand that erase cleanly.  Kneaded erasers are another great option, but are not required. Kneaded erasers are recommended for upper level art students.  They erase both pencil and charcoal and can be shaped to fit small areas.
    • Sketchbook- 7"x10" to 9"x12” mixed media sketchbook with heavyweight paper (80lbs or higher) such as the Canson XL Mixed Media sketchbook. Students may reuse sketchbooks from prior art classes if they have space remaining.

    Art II:

    • Small Round Pointed Brush- Buy one very small pointed brush for use with acrylic paint.
    • A set of wooden drawing pencils (Mechanical pencils can be used later for technical drawings, but the students must have wooden pencils.)
