Mrs. Tina Marie Towers
My name is Tina Towers. I feel very blessed to be the Elementary Curriculum Coordinator of Hartselle City Schools.
I have been in education for 34 years. I began my career in Arkansas, where I taught kindergarten for 15 years. My husband’s company moved us to Mississippi, where I taught 2nd grade for 2 years. In 2005, we moved to Alabama where I taught kindergarten and 1st grade. I taught first grade and was the Reading Coach at F.E. Burleson Elementary. After leaving FEB, I was the Coordinator of Curriculum and Professional Development for Hartselle City Schools, also the Pre-K Director. The pinnacle of my career was being the Principal of Barkley Bridge Elementary for 5 1/2 years. As you can see, I have had many different educational experiences in my 34 years. I pray that all of these opportunities will equip me to be of help or a blessing to others in my current role.
I am married to Tim Towers. He is a Branch Manager for Helena Chemical Company. My oldest son, Adam is 32 years old and lives in Jonesboro, Arkansas. I have a daughter-in-law, Kristen, and a grand baby, Keller. My youngest son Mason is 26 years old. He graduated from Mississippi State University and now works for Helena while living in Arkansas. We are an outdoor-loving family. We love to fish, hunt, go to the lake, and travel to new places.
I was born and raised in Hot Springs, Arkansas. I graduated from Fountain Lake High School. I went to Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, where I earned my BS in Education/Early Childhood. I received my Masters in Educational Leadership from The University of Alabama.
I am so happy to be a part of the HCS family for 17 years. We have a wonderful staff and each one of us strives to make learning active, fun, and engaging. Please feel free to contact me if you have any needs.
My motto:
Be respectful, love one another, love learning, and be happy!! :)
