    • Introduction:

     

    Rules and procedures are fundamental in life and we all follow them on a regular basis. We also have rules and procedures for the ELAR classroom. If these rules and procedures are followed, they contribute to a positive learning environment for everyone.

     

    1. Procedures for entering the classroom:

    You are expected to follow this procedure upon entering the classroom:

    • You are to wait for me by the door.
    • Enter the classroom without running or pushing. 
    • If any materials are listed on the board, get those materials out and ready.
    • Sit in your assigned seat.
    • Wait for further instructions.
    • Follow Rules on the back of this paper.



    III. Turning in assignments:

    You will have an assigned tray to turn in all your assignments. It is your responsibility to make sure it is turned in the right tray.

     

    1. What is expected in class and grades:
    • Be prepared.
    • Be positive and helpful.
    • We will have a journal written in almost daily and a quiz at the end of each unit. Quiz grade can be a maximum grade of 100.
    • All work will be kept in your binder until the teacher sends it home with you, usually at the end of the 6 weeks.
    • Work is grade using the district policy.
    • Corrections are only on test.

    • Folder with brads and pockets
    • Composition book

    Bring to class 

    • Pencil
    • Paper if they need to put more in their binders
    • Library books
    • Highlighters
