In all matters related to health services, Global Concepts Charter School (GCCS) adheres to Section 136 of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education for the State of New York.
School health services are designed to determine the health status of a child. They include but are not limited to: medical examinations, scoliosis screening, vision screening and audiometer tests. In addition, health services are intended to inform students, parents and guardians, and teachers of a child's health condition subject to federal and state confidentiality laws. Health services are also intended to guide parents, children and teachers about procedures for preventing and correcting defects and diseases and to instruct school personnel on procedures to take in case of an accident or illness.
