Germantown 64, Hawthorne Valley 54

The Clippers boys basketball team got their first win of the season at home last Thursday night against Hawthorne Valley, winning 64-54.

Germantown started out with the early lead and never looked back despite a fantastic three-point shooting performance from Hawthorne’s Noah Vom Sein. Hawthorne Valley’s Oliver Towe added a few treys of his own and led the Wildcats with 16 points.

Germantown seniors Brad DelPozzo and Owen Watson proved to be too much for the Wildcat’s defense. DelPozzo had 22 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 assists.  Watson led the Clippers with 24 points, 11 rebounds, and 3 assists.

Germantown’s next game is Monday, January 10, at Taconic Hills. Game time is 5:30 p.m.
