Meet the 2024 Board of Education Candidates

Fulton City School District’s annual Budget Vote and Board of Education Election takes place on Tuesday, May 21 from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. This year, the following individuals are running for the Board of Education’s two available seats.
JENNIFER MAINVILLE

Jennifer Mainville is seeking a return to the Fulton Board of Education where she currently serves. She is a 25-year teacher and coach and holds a Certificate of Advanced Study from SUNY Oswego in district and building administration. She is a mother of three past and present FCSD students. In continuing in her role on the school board, Mainville hopes to prioritize accountability, leadership, and student advocacy.
DAVID CORDONE

David Cordone is seeking re-election to the Fulton Board of Education, having served on the board from 2001 to 2007 and again from 2011 to 2023. Cordone is an active and lifelong member of the Fulton community and a graduate of G. Ray Bodley High School. He has two sons that likewise graduated from the district and are now completing college degrees. He recently retired as principal in the North Syracuse CSD and was previously an elementary and middle school teacher in the Baldwinsville CSD. Cordone looks forward to continuing to advocate on behalf of students, preserving the opportunities of a high-quality academic experience and promoting public education on the local, state and federal levels.
FRANK CASTIGLIA

Frank Castiglia is seeking his first appointment to the Fulton Board of Education. He was born in Fulton, graduated from G. Ray Bodley, and has been a member of the Fulton community for most of his life. He is active in Fulton City Common Council meetings and currently serves as the Oswego County Legislator for the 25th District. In the past, Castiglia has worked as director of the Stratford Business Schol, Production Control Supervisor for United Technology Corp. in Syracuse, and as a Transportation Specialist for the Fulton City School District. Castiglia is looking forward to finding out the mechanisms of being a board member.
LAURIE PRALL

Laurie Prall is seeking her first appointment to the Fulton Board of Education after her upcoming retirement this June. She currently works as a teaching assistant at Fairgrieve School, having previously been a substitute teacher as well. Before joining the school community, she served as a police officer with the City of Fulton Police Department from 1985 until 2006. Prall is a lifelong Fulton resident and community member, having raised a daughter who likewise attended Fulton schools. She looks forward to continuing an active participation within the caring Fulton community by connecting to its heart: our schools.
