We are excited to welcome you back to the Hawks Nest on Monday, October 5, 2020 at 8:00 a.m!  Please do not drop off your student(s) prior to 7:45 a.m. as no supervision will be available until this time.  ALL students will proceed directly to their classroom.   Please assess your child(ren) at home for symptoms of illness and remember that ALL students are required to wear a mask as will be all staff members on campus.  

5^th-8^th grade students will be directed into their designated grade level entry point by staff members.  In the building there will be traffic patterns and social distancing protocols in place as students are directed to their first block/homeroom teacher’s classroom.  Universal free breakfast will be available for pick up at designated stations inside grade level designated entries as outlined on the map (included). Students will be able to pick up breakfast in route and then proceed to their classroom. 

Due to district guidelines, parents are NOT allowed on campus to accompany students to class.  We ask that you drive through the drop off lane on the cafeteria side to avoid our bus and Specialty Programs drop off area on the playground side.  Specialty Programs have emailed specific drop off/pick up guidelines for their students which may differ from general education student procedures for drop off/pick up.  If you are the parent(s)/guardian(s) of a specialty program student and are unsure of the procedures, please email your teacher.   

Afterschool pickup will follow district guidelines regarding parents on campus.  To ensure student safety we have designed very specific pick up procedures which Mr. Scheetz communicated last Friday.  PLEASE remain in your vehicle so we may verify your identify, present you with your drive through placard if you are a K-2 parent, and safely escort your child(ren) to your vehicle.  A map is included below (Transportation Stations).

We look forward to a smooth drop off/pick up procedure once we establish the routines and placards are distributed for pick up.  In addition to the included maps, they are also provided in attachments to this email.  

Classrooms will be sanitized regularly throughout the school day.  Breakfast and lunch will be eaten in the classroom and recesses will be in cohorts and socially distanced.
