We are committed to helping your student have a safe and successful experience while participating in sports at Ellensburg High School. Here is Cole Kanyer, Athletic Director at EHS, to discuss details on the new eligibility requirements for EHS Athletics.

SecURLy - Enabling Parents to Assist Students with Appropriate Technology Use at Home

For the past year we've been looking into and testing a solution to assist parents with appropriate device (Chromebook) use at home - and we are ready to unveil the solution!

The new filter (SecURLy) allows parents to have access--after school is out--to filter the internet at a higher level then we currently do, to set time limits on internet use, and monitor internet usage on the account.

For example, a parent or guardian can decide to turn the internet off on the Chromebook at 8pm each night; a parent or guardian can decide to turn off YouTube completely; and/or a parent or guardian can see what searches a student is conducting throughout the week.

As we know many of you have children in the district, we wanted you to be on the cutting edge of this. If your email is linked to your 6-12th grade student(s) in Skyward, you are automatically signed up. You will receive a report each Wednesday regarding your student's internet use and have the ability to create an account to use the filter at home.
