Local Request for Proposals (RFP) -Any program that wishes to become a provider of School Readiness services in the East Haven community, must submit a local proposal to the East Haven School Readiness Council for approval. All local RFP submissions will be reviewed by the East Haven School Readiness Council and scored.
The East Haven School Readiness Council announces the availability of the School Readiness Grant Program Local Request for Proposal (RFP) for the July 1, 2020- June 30, 2021 fiscal year. Eligible providers serving children ages 3 and 4 include licensed East Haven center based child-care providers, Head Start-approved programs, NAEYC-accredited programs and programs not yet accredited. All School Readiness providers must be willing and able to comply with all legislated mandates. Please see the website below for copies of the School Readiness General Policies.

Quality Enhancement Grant -The Quality Enhancement Grant Program Local Request for Proposal is available for the July 1, 2020 – June 30, 2021 fiscal year. The purpose of the Quality Enhancement Grant is to provide funding for programs that focus on education and early care that address quality standards and/or expand comprehensive services for children and families.
The School Readiness Grant/Quality Enhancement Application – Programs interested in participating in the open-bid process for the School Readiness Grant Program and/or the Quality Enhancement Program Local Request for Proposal (RFP), please contact Joseph Ferraiolo East Haven School Readiness Liaison at: jferraiolo@east-haven.k12.ct.us . Local Request for Proposals must be submitted electronically and are due on April 17, 2020.
Submission/ Due Date - Eligible applicants must submit an application for July 1, 2020, through June 30, 2021. Grant award letters will be issued annually based on the annual appropriation of the Connecticut Legislature and the grant recipient’s compliance with the program requirements. Due date for completed grant application is April 17, 2020.
