Dr. Neil Lesinski

Dr. Neil Lesinski was appointed superintendent of Community High School District 155 in July 2023, following six years of service as principal of Cary-Grove High School. He currently serves as chairperson of the Programming and Development Committee for the Illinois Association of School Administrators Kishwaukee Region, having been elected by his superintendent peers. His leadership at both the district and regional levels reflects a deep commitment to advancing educational excellence and supporting professional collaboration across Illinois.
During his leadership at Cary-Grove High School, the school earned national recognition as one of the top high schools in the country by U.S. News & World Report and was also named a Top STEM High School by Newsweek. Prior to his tenure as principal, he served as the district’s Director of Curriculum and Assessment, where he led efforts to enhance academic programs and improve instructional outcomes. Dr. Lesinski began his career as an English teacher in District 117, and also served as the career technical education department chair, and English department chair at District 117.
Dr. Lesinski earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Western Illinois University, and a master’s degree in educational leadership along with a Type 75 Certification from Concordia University Chicago. He then continued to earn his doctorate in education from Aurora University.
