There are several courses offered to Alta Sierra students that are interested in exploring art!
Beginning Art: This entry-level course is designed to give students a variety of experiences with a variety of mediums. We will paint, draw, sculpt, and assemble up to ten projects in a semester. Students who would like to eventually take Advanced Art must take Beginning Art as a prerequisite.
Digital Art and Design: This course is completely electronic; while we may sketch ideas on paper, every project completed in this class will be completed on computers or iPads. We will utilize programs like Google Draw to create graphic designs. We will also learn about graphic design as a career.
Advanced Art: This course is the next step in art education after taking Beginning Art. We dive deeper into unorthodox methods, art history, and more. Students in this course are eligible to compete in the annual District Art Show as well as the Fresno Fair.
