What a fun and engaging way to prepare for a Math Assessment! Students in Mrs. Gall's class at Cicero East are offered choices on how they would like to review using 'Math Baskets'. Some students were playing a homemade board game solving math problems, while others were working out problems on a dry erase board. Some students were quizzing each other using flash cards and some were writing in notebooks. Some students chose to work with a partner while others worked alone. Some students worked at their desks, while others worked on the the floor. In Mrs. Gall's class, what the students want - matters. During this lesson there was a healthy buzz of engagement. Most importantly, students were having fun while learning!
