• The safety and well-being of our students, parents, staff and visitors will always be the top priority of Charlotte County Public Schools. In our effort to maintain a high level of protection, CCPS will be upgrading security at our sporting events. Students and visitors will no longer be able to bring certain items into sporting venues. Exceptions will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection.

    Prohibited items include but are not limited to:

    • Backpacks/Book Bags
    • Cinch Bags
    • Duffel Bags (includes all varieties of bags)
    • Large Purses
    • Any item that could be used as a projectile.

    Additionally, CCPS will be increasing our security presence at upcoming sporting contests. We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding as we implement procedures to maintain a safe environment for our students, parents, staff and visitors.
