• CVA Hybrid Program

     

    This school year, CSD is offering a CVA Hybrid Program to students. Students in grades K-12 can take advantage of this program. Students who opt for this program will be dually enrolled in both CVA and their neighborhood school. This program offers flexibility to students in a number of ways. 

     

    Elementary Students (K-6)

    • CVA students can attend their neighborhood school for specials: Library, Music, or PE.
      • This option requires students to be dually enrolled in CVA and their neighborhood school.
    • CVA students who are English language learners have the choice to attend their neighborhood school or to attend live virtual sessions with the CVA ELD teacher to receive ELD services. 
      • This option requires students to be dually enrolled in CVA and their neighborhood school.
    • CVA students can attend community events at their neighborhood schools.
      •  This option does not require dual enrollment.

     

    CMS Students (Grades 7-8):

    • Students can attend CMS for Band and Choir (held on A and B days), only up to 7th period.  
      • This option requires students to be dually enrolled in CVA and CMS.
    • CVA students who are English language learners have the choice to attend CMS (space is limited) or to attend live virtual sessions with the CVA ELD teacher to receive ELD services. 
      • This option requires students to be dually enrolled in CVA and CMS.
    • CVA students can attend community events at CMS.
      •  This option does not require dual enrollment.
    • CVA students can participate in sports at CMS.
      • This option does not require dual enrollment.

     

    CHS (Grades 9-12): 

    • CHS students can take initial credit courses at CVA when behind in credits.
      • This option requires students to be dually enrolled in CVA and CHS.
    • CVA students can attend CHS for specific courses that CVA doesn’t offer.
      • This option requires students to be dually enrolled in CVA and CHS.
    • CVA students who are English language learners can opt to take their ELD courses at CHS.
      • This option requires students to be dually enrolled in CVA and CHS.
    • CHS students who start the school year late can take courses at CVA to catch-up on credits.
      • This option requires students to be dually enrolled in CVA and CHS.
    • 5th year seniors can complete courses at CVA.
      • This option requires students to be dually enrolled in CVA and CHS.
    •  CVA students can attend community events at CHS.
      •  This option does not require dual enrollment.
    • CVA students can participate in sports at CHS.
      • This option does not require dual enrollment.
