If you have decided to no longer attend CSA for the 2022-23 school year, you must submit the change on Aeries portal by March 31st.
Course Selection
Seaside Middle School Course Selection 2023-24
Incoming 6th-8th graders select preferred Math and English levels using the Course Request Form below.
All incoming 6th graders will take grade level English (English 6). All incoming 6th-8th graders will take grade level Science, History, and P.E. Seaside is not able to offer electives, but students are able to take an elective on campus at their home middle school (based on course availability). Check your home middle school's website for information about elective choices. If you choose to take an elective at your home middle school campus, please indicate that on the form as well.
Please submit your Course Request Form by April 28th, 2023.

Seaside High School Course Selection 2023-24
Incoming 9th Graders
Will meet with Mrs. Payne (Seaside Counselor) to select their courses for 9th grade. Course request forms will be submitted to Mrs. Payne during or after your appointment. The Counseling office will be in contact to set up your appointment. Please watch the Incoming 9th Grade Course Selection video below before your course selection appointment.
Incoming 10th-12th Graders
Will meet with their current advisors to select their courses for next year. Course request forms will be submitted to your advisor. Mrs Payne (Seaside Counselor) will input each students' course selections into Aeries. Please watch the Current CSA HS Course Selection video below before your course selection meeting.
Course Request Forms
Students and families may review the courses listed on the Course Request Forms (CRF) below to prepare for your meeting. Course request forms will be filled out during your meeting with Mrs. Payne or your advisor. Course Request Forms are due by April 30th, 2023.
CUSD Summer School Credit Recovery - CUSD will be holding summer school this summer in an in person format only. Please click on the Summer School letter below for more detailed information (format, dates, and how to register). There is a Google Form option to enroll or print the form, complete it and return it to your Counselor by May 5th.
Off-Campus Courses
Off-Campus Courses must be approved by Administration before you register for courses. If you plan on taking courses outside of Carlsbad Unified School District, please fill out the form listed below and refer to the Off-Campus Courses page on our website.
