Welcome to Mrs. Kiral's Visual Arts webpage. I have been at Hickory Ridge Middle since the school's opening in 2010 and have watched it flourish into the wonderful learning environment it is today! I am thrilled to be here and be teaching one of my greatest passions, ART!! It is my goal to cultivate imaginations, inspire creativity and to develop character in my young artists!

 

I am a National Board Certified Teacher with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art with a concentration in painting from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where I played soccer for 2 years. GO NINERS!! I have coached Softball, Basketball and Soccer here at Hickory Ridge in previous years. 

 

I so enjoy working with creative, young people and look forward to informing and beautifying the school and community with them.  I hope that all who enter my classroom leave with a new way to communicate and explore.  I encourage students to take risks and look for inspiration EVERYWHERE.  Its all around us, we just have to open our eyes and begin to truly SEE! The Visual Arts often allow the mind to work out problems and solutions at profound depths, where mere words would be insufficient. I hope my students gain insights through art available no other way...
