IMPORTANT REMINDERS:

Transcript request forms must be complete and submitted at least 10 school days prior to a deadline. 

LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION:

• You must match your Common Application and Naviance accounts (by completing STEPS 1-7 on the BHS College Application Process Checklist) prior to submitting any letter of recommendation requests in Naviance.
• Ask teachers for letters at least 2 weeks in advance, and then submit the request on Naviance if they agree to write the letter (step 10 on BHS College Application Process Checklist). Be mindful that teachers often spend a good deal of time composing these letters, and they often are writing letters for several students at the same time. Please be respectful of their time and thank them for their assistance.
• Counselor letters are requested on the transcript request form, NOT through Naviance. You must complete the student and parent input forms and share a copy of your resume with your counselor (through Naviance or a Google doc) BEFORE submitting the transcript request form. Refer to step 11 BHS College Application Process Checklist and page 20 in the Detailed Guide to the College Application Process for help.

STANDARDIZED TEST SCORES:

• If any colleges require official score reports as part of the application process, request those scores through College Board (for the SAT) or ACT.
