Use Creative Skills to Make People Look and Feel Good

Students learn the competencies and professional skills necessary to pass the New York State practical and written Cosmetology licensing exams, which require completion of 1,000 hours of instruction and practice. The program encompasses the fundamentals of hair design, chemical services, and nail and skin care.

Teachers
Lisa DoranFelicia RobinsonMarisa MantisiLisa Doran has been a cosmetologist for more than thirty years. She attended a career and technical school for training while in high school and worked in the cosmetology field since high school. She was a teacher at a private cosmetology school before coming to WEMOCO.Felicia Robinson has been in the beauty industry for over three decades. She began her career as a student in a BOCES program and from there she went on to work for 15 years, eventually owning a salon for 7 years. After completing her bachelor’s degree in education, she began her career as an educator at WEMOCO in 1997.Marisa Mantisi has been working in the beauty industry since 2013. She attended school to obtain New York State Licenses in nails, waxing, cosmetology, and barbering. After completing her teaching certification she began her career as a cosmetology instructor in 2019. In addition to teaching Marisa also uses her skills behind the chair. -
