Supervision, Before and After School
-
Morning Supervision:
The building is open, and we provide supervision starting at 7:10 a.m. Early students must wait in the cafeteria until 7:35 a.m. At that time, students are allowed to go to their lockers and their homerooms.
After-School Supervision:
There are many opportunities for students after school. Children must let their parents know when and where they will be if they aren't going home at the normal dismissal time (2:39 p.m.).
Our buses leave the loop at 2:55 p.m. If students stay after school, they must be with a teacher or another adult in a supervised activity until 3:20 p.m. Students who are in a supervised activity are welcome to take a late bus home. Late buses leave school starting around 3:30 p.m., and students should be home by 4:00 p.m.
Students who are not in a supervised activity after school may not ride a late bus. Many students have permission from their parents to go to the shops around Twelve Corners after school. This is up to the individual parents, but if students leave campus, they should not return to the school for rides, to meet friends, or to take a late bus home. If a student wants to watch an athletic contest, they should go home first and come back with an adult (games don’t typically start until 4:15 p.m.)
