La maestra ( The teacher)
-
I am Linda Palmer, mother of 2 and Spanish teacher at Brighton High School. I have been teaching in Brighton High School since 1998, and I have taught almost everything from level 1 to level 5. My interests are reading (Harry Potter and mystery stories), movies, and family. I have a Bachelors degree in Spanish and Education from Nazareth College and a Masters degree from SUNY Brockport. In the classroom, I aspire to reach all students in some way. I hope that students learn from me how to work hard, but also enjoy learning. I want them all to learn new language skills, both in English and in Spanish. In 15 years, some students may not remember how to conjugate irregular verbs in the preterit tense, but hopefully they will remember that I reached out to them and that learning can be fun. Maybe they will learn some other "life lessons" along the way. I am so proud to teach in Brighton, and I hope you and your child have a positive experience in this challenging, exciting environment.
