Film Contest

  • I'm the cofounder of the Rochester Teen Film Festival and I'm writing to you to let you know that we are now open for submissions for the 2017 festival.

The Rochester Teen Film Festival is an annual celebration of youth filmmakers in the Greater Rochester Area. The purpose of the festival is to honor the stories of urban, suburban, and rural teen filmmakers and give young people an authentic opportunity to participate in a real film festival while interacting with each other. All submissions are judged by a jury and finalists are selected to have their films shown at a professional independent theatre in downtown Rochester.

WXXI Public Broadcasting Council, and the Little Theatre are proud to announce and invite entries for the 2017 Rochester Teen Film Festival.  Entries due: June 10, 2017. No submission fees!

    GUIDELINES:

           All genres are welcome

Videos must be appropriate for school-based audiences

The festival will take place on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 5:30 p.m., when the finalists' films will be shown on the main screen at the Little Theatre.   Reception to follow immediately for filmmakers, families, friends, and the audience.
