Jennifer Johnson (Jen) serves as the Director of Special Education for the Paul Bunyan Education Cooperative. Jen received her Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education from the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire, Masters of Arts in Educational Leadership and Director of Special Education Certificate from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. Jen has 20 years of experience serving students and families. Prior to her role for the Paul Bunyan Cooperative, Jen worked for the Robbinsdale Area School District. Jen has served as a Special Education Teacher, Due Process Facilitator, Special Education Coordinator, and Special Education Supervisor. Jen believes in building strong relationships with all stakeholders, high expectations for all, reflective practice, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Jen moved to the Brainerd Lakes Area with her family in the summer of 2018. Jen and her family enjoy spending time together fishing, swimming, boating, and traveling to the Johnson family farm in Mott, North Dakota.
