I am a certified member of the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and licensed to practice speech language pathology in the state of Mississippi. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Speech Language Hearing Sciences from the University of South Alabama and a Master’s degree in Communication Disorders from the University of South Alabama. I also have a minor in Psychology. I have practiced speech therapy in a number of settings, which include: Biloxi Public Schools, private schools, early intervention, assisted living, SNF, and hospitals. The majority of my experience has been in Biloxi Public Schools, where I have worked with preschoolers and school-aged children. I provide services for prevention, assessment, intervention, and treatment of a variety of communication disorders (language, articulation, fluency, voice, social-pragmatic, and developmental early childhood). I collaborate with parents, teachers, and support staff to implement interventions and design programs that will provide students with a productive and positive school environment to support their communication needs. I also have experience working with children and adults with swallowing disorders, as well as adult communication disorders due to illness or injury. I am married to Michael. We have two children, one son-in-law, a future daughter-in-law, and one sweet dog! When I am not working, I love boating, traveling, and shopping!
