  • Welcome to 8th Grade ELA! I'm Ms. Ricks and this is my first year teaching. I'm looking forward to this new year. A few reminders that in my class students are expected to: 

    • Use respectful language at all times
    • Be respectful to others and of others at all times
    • Begin bellwork promptly after entering the classroom
    • Be prepared with materials including pencil, paper, and Chromebook
    • Wait for me to call on them before speaking in class 
    • Keep their phones put away
    • And remember to not throw anything in my classroom
