Ms. Susana Gonzales, an Arizona Native,  has served our community as the assistant principal of Avondale Middle School for the past six years. Prior to that, she taught for 13 years as an ELA, Social Studies and ELL teacher at the middle school level. Ms Gonzales is excited to now serve as the proud principal of AMS. She is committed to the academic and social growth of our students as they prepare to be successful in high school and beyond. 

Ms. Megan Jardim comes to Avondale from Southern California with 8 years of experience in education and site leadership. As a first year Assistant Principal, Ms. Jardim brings her experience in leadership at the high school level supporting Special Education. Ms Jardim has experience as a middle school teacher for 3 years and high school teacher for 5 years. During her time in the classroom, Ms. Jardim supported both students in the general education setting as well as special education. Ms. Jardim is excited and proud to be part of the Avondale Middle School family.  Supporting students to be problem solvers and how they are in control of their future success, is her passion.
