Wildflower has been recognized in many ways for the achievements of its students and teachers. In 2017, Wildflower was the first school in Avondale Elementary School District to be awarded an “A” rating from the Arizona Department of Education (ADE). This accomplishment has been maintained since 2017. Wildflower has also received the A+ School of Excellence Award.
It is particularly noteworthy that, within the Wildflower student population, the middle school grade students are ranked in the top 15% in Arizona, demonstrating exceptional academic growth within the school’s learning environment.
Further, in 2018 ADE recognized Wildflower as a model school for 3rd grade reading development; this work is to be featured in an ADE Case Study. Wildflower received a national recognition by The National Institute of Excellence in Teaching (NIET) Founder's Award in March of 2019, which highlighted the collaboration, trust, respect, and the eagerness to innovate- all foundational to lifelong learning, that takes place at Wildflower. Wildflower was recognized through U.S. News Best Middle Schools and Best Elementary Schools in its national rankings. Wildflower implemented the Leader in Me program beginning in 2020 as their social emotional and leadership program and continues to practice this program on a daily basis.
