• La Granada Parent University

La Granada Elementary School proudly provides the LG Parent University! Parents and guardians are able to attend classes and learn about ways to support their students.  Topics include types of Parent Involvement from the research of Joyce Epstein, as well as various topics that impact our students and community, including high school graduation requirements, counseling services, homework help, state testing changes and the implementation of the California Common Core State Standards.

    Our Goal:

    • Build strong relationships between home and school
    • Increase parent involvement
    • Build a culture of caring
    • Support student success

For every class a parent or guardian attends they earn credits towards Parent University graduation in the Spring. During this ceremony parents are recognized by the number of classes they attended.
