• Principal's Message

     

    As we enter the 2023-24 school year I would like to show my appreciation to our students for their commitment to their education with a few highlights. Over 60% of our students were named on the Honor Roll in 2022-23, our daily attendance average increased by 4% from the month of December in comparison to the month of March, and who could forget both of our Boys and Girls Soccer Teams winning the championship! 

     

    As always, our goal is to serve the students and provide them with the tools they need to be successful in every step of their educational journey.  As a faculty, we strive to provide a high quality education consisting of practical experiences, engaging lessons, and standards based instruction for our students. Our students will be able to take advantage of our Band, Choir and Career-Technical elective classes such as the ever popular Woodshop program. Our teachers participate in Professional Learning Communities that include staff development in the areas of technology such as Digital Citizenship and iReady Reading and Math. They are also being trained on AVID WICOR, PBIS strategies and Social/Emotional Supports for students.

     

    As your Principal my goal is to continue to create a positive relationship with our families and community as a whole. It is crucial for our school and community to be united as one team to support our students. As a result, we are asking for families to support our students and our school by participating in parent groups such as:

    • School Site Council

    • English Learner Advisory Committee

    • Parent Teacher Association

Finally, we are happy to announce that Wells is introducing a Choir elective to go along with our band program as part of our performing arts and we will continue to have after school sports including, flag football, track and field, soccer, volleyball, and basketball.

    A medida que ingresamos al año escolar 2023-24, me gustaría mostrar mi agradecimiento a nuestros estudiantes por su compromiso con su educación con algunos aspectos destacados. Más del 60% de nuestros estudiantes fueron nombrados en la Lista de Honores en 2022-23, nuestro promedio de asistencia diaria aumentó en un 4% desde el mes de diciembre en comparación con el mes de marzo, y quién podría olvidar a nuestros equipos de fútbol de niños y de niñas, quienes ambos ganaron el campeonato!

     

    Como siempre, nuestro objetivo es servir a los estudiantes y brindarles las herramientas que necesitan para tener éxito en cada paso de su viaje educativo. Como facultad, nos esforzamos por brindar una educación de alta calidad que consiste en experiencias prácticas, lecciones atractivas e instrucción basada en estándares para nuestros estudiantes. Nuestros estudiantes podrán aprovechar nuestras clases optativas de Banda, Coro y Carreras Técnicas, como nuestro programa popular de Carpintería. Nuestros maestros participan en Comunidades de Aprendizaje Profesional que incluyen el desarrollo de personal en áreas de tecnología tales como Ciudadanía Digital y Lectura y Matemáticas iReady. También están siendo capacitados en AVID WICOR, estrategias PBIS y Apoyos Sociales/Emocionales para estudiantes.

     

    Como Director, mi objetivo es continuar creando una relación positiva con nuestras familias y la comunidad en general. Es imprescindible que nuestra escuela y nuestra comunidad estén unidas como un solo equipo para apoyar a nuestros estudiantes. Como resultado, estamos pidiendo a las familias que apoyen a nuestros estudiantes y nuestra escuela participando en grupos de padres como:

    • Consejo Escolar (SSC por sus siglas en inglés)

    • Comité Asesor de Aprendices de Inglés (ELAC)

    • Asociación de Padres y Maestros (PTA)

Finalmente, nos complace anunciar que Wells estará ofreciendo una electiva de Coro para acompañar nuestro programa de banda como parte de nuestras artes escénicas y continuaremos teniendo deportes después de la escuela que incluyen fútbol de bandera, atletismo, fútbol, ​​vóleibol y baloncesto.
