I have been in the Allendale School District for 22 years.  I have a BA in Psychology and went on to receive my certification in Elementary Education.  Before joining the Allendale School District, I was a Preschool Director at a private school in Bergen County.  I started my Hillside journey in Kindergarten.  I then went on to teach 2nd grade and 3rd grade.  I returned to Kindergarten eight years ago in order to be part of the Kindergarten Modified Program. It was so exciting to see how each child grew into an independent learner during their first year of school.   Last year, I had the opportunity to work as an Academic Support Teacher.  In this role, I provided support in reading to KIndergarten and 1st Grade students.  This year, I am excited to join the 1st Grade team and look forward to working with a homeroom of students again.  1C will be known as the "Clauss Club".  Welcome Clauss Club members!

As the Hillside School Ecology Center Coordinator, I meet with grades K-3 in our school's Ecology Center.  I love gardening and I am so fortunate to have the opportunity to share my passion for gardening with our young gardeners.  My motto is "Let It Grow".
