Overview of Technology Program
Classrooms at Hillside School in grades kindergarten through grade 3 have access to iPads, Chromebooks, and laptops and all classrooms are outfitted with interactive flat panels. Students and teachers also have the opportunity to utilize the Learning Commons, which houses a 1:1 Chromebook environment and an interactive flat panel.
Students will benefit from using various curricula-related technology and applications that support classroom instruction. Students will gain an understanding of Google Applications for Education and working in a cloud-based environment. Students will learn how to navigate the Internet safely, create documents, multimedia presentations, and websites, and how to practice digital citizenship.
Students work towards mastery of the New Jersey Student Learning Standards. The standards focus on the following key core aspects:
