• Homeschool applicants are required to follow the same requirements as traditional applicants, with a few distinguishments. Please note the following:

    • 3 years of academic transcripts from your homeschool organization. If your homeschool administrator is a parent, please create a transcript with completed courses and their corresponding grades. 
      • For applicants entering 9th Grade:
        • 6th Grade Report Card
        • 7th Grade Report Card
        • 8th Grade Report Card for the 1st 9 weeks
      • For applicants entering 10th Grade:
        • 7th Grade Report Card
        • 8th Grade Report Card
        • 9th Grade Report Card for the 1st 9 weeks

    • 3 Years of Attendance Records. If your homeschool administrator is a parent, please include attendance on submitted transcript.

    • In lieu of a discipline report, please submit a statement outlining an area of growth for your applicant.

    • STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) Recommendation from current teacher. We prefer this recommendation come from a tutor or another adult who has worked with the applicant in an academic capacity. If the applicant's parent is the sole academic instructor, the parent is allowed to complete this recommendation for their student. This recommendation is completed through your application with an automated form sent to the recommender.

    • Administrator/Counselor Recommendation from current Administrator/Counselor (recommendation link is sent to your teacher from your application. We prefer this recommendation come from an individual who has worked with the applicant in an academic or non-academic capacity. This could include a tutor, youth pastor, scout leader, or a community reference. This recommendation should not come from a parent.

    For Home School, Private School, and Virtual (Online) School  Applicants:

    Home school, Private School, and Virtual School applicants are eligible to apply for admission with the submission of the SSAT, ACT, or SAT. If those tests are unavailable to you, ASCTE hosts numerous on-campus testing options for your student. There is a $75 fee for on-campus testing. Students can register through Ravenna and payment is made 10 days prior to the testing date.

    There is no minimum qualifying score for admission. Scores are one of many evaluation criteria and are meant to provide insight into the academic potential of incoming applicants.
    All applicants are reviewed holistically.
