Hello,

My name is Karisa Wideikis.  I grew up in Punta Gorda, and attended East Elementary as a child. I attended Florida Gulf Coast University and graduated with a degree in Environmental Studies.  Following that, I began teaching and earned a Masters of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in reading.  After teaching kindergarten and first grade for 11 years, I became interested in school counseling.  I earned a Masters of Arts in School Counseling in 2017, and love my current position as the counselor at East Elementary.  

 I enjoy traveling, swimming, gardening, and living in Punta Gorda.  I'm dedicated to the success of the students of East Elementary and watching them grow into strong, productive citizens.
