Congratulations to graduating Windsor Central High School senior Hannah Wright, who accepted the Binghamton Garden Club’s Laimons E. and Sylvia Drupa Scholarship on Friday morning.

The scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior attending a college or university program majoring in environmental studies, botany, landscape architecture, or other non-medical sciences. The award is $10,000 a year with potential for multiple-year awards. Wright will attend SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry in the fall.

“I’m extremely grateful. It releases a lot of stress from my family. I’m excited to save the world,” said Wright.
