Windsor Central Middle School Celebrates Attendance

Windsor Central Middle School celebrated students who worked hard to come to school during Quarter 2. Students who missed three days or fewer in quarter two earned a special reward—a chance to pick a fun snack donated by Good Neighbors like donuts, cookies, and Takis.
“We are now halfway through the school year, and we know that winter weather can make it tough to get up and out the door. But coming to school every day is important for your future, and we appreciate your effort,” said Katelyn Wiscovitch, community schools social worker.

The reward starts every quarter. Students who didn’t earn it in quarter two will have another chance in quarter three.

Binghamton University Community Schools Site Supervisor, Asia Ambler, and intern Kayla Feerick helped make this event happen.

This is one way WCMS encourages good attendance. The school also has:
 • Fun Lunch Fridays for Attendance Club
 • Quarterly Advisory Competitions like Advisory Attendance, Clean Sweep, and the Golden Spatula

“Coming to school helps you do better in class, make more friends, and build good habits for the future. Keep up the great work, and let’s make quarter three even better,” said Wiscovitch.
