2024 School Board Election Calendar
Wildorado ISD School Board Elections:
- The 2024 Wildorado ISD Board Elections will take place on Tuesday, November 5, 2024
- The first day to file for a candidacy is on July 20, 2024
- The last day to file for a place on the General Election is August 19, 2024
- The deadline for a candidate to withdraw from the election is August 23, 2024
- Drawing for positions on ballot will be August 20, 2024 at 12:00 pm in the board room located at 1523 S. Locust, Wildorado, TX 79098
- Application for a Place on the Ballot may be picked up at the administration offices at 1523 S. Locust, Wildorado, TX 79098. The office will be open Monday – Friday from 9:00-3:00 July 22-August 2 and Monday-Friday 8:00-4:00 August 5 – 19

Qualifications for Candidacy
- Must be a US citizen
- 18 years of age or older (18 years by the 1st day the term is to be filled)
- Resident of Texas for at least 1 year prior to filing deadline
- Resident of Wildorad ISD for at least 6 months prior to filing deadline
- Registered voter of the territory by the filing deadline
- Candidate must not have a felony conviction or a conviction under 43.02 of the Penal Code
- Candidate must not have final judgment from a court of being mentally incapacitated or partially incapacitated without the right to vote

*** NOTICE *** 2024 Candidate Information Wildorado ISD Trustee Election- November 5, 2024 Notice is hereby given that on August 7, 2024, the Wildorado Board of Trustees, at a regularly scheduled Board Meeting, will Call to Order a Trustee Election on November 5, 2024. The first day to file for a place on the ballot is: July 20, 2024, (Saturday). The filing deadline is: Monday, August 19, 2024, Election Packets will be available for pick-up at the Wildorado ISD Administration Building beginning on Monday, June 17, 2024, during regular business hours of operation Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Applications for a place on the ballot will be accepted at the Wildorado ISD Administration Building beginning on Saturday, July 20, 2024, (10 a.m.-12 p.m.) and during normal business hours thereafter until the deadline on Monday, August 19, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. The election packet will contain an “Application for a Place on the Ballot for a General Election”; an “Appointment of a Campaign Treasurer”; the Election Advisory Calendar and any other pertinent information if needed. The Candidate Application and the Campaign Treasurer Appointment forms MUST be returned by the filing deadline. Campaign Finance reports and filing are the responsibility of the candidate and must be done in a timely manner per Ethics Commission rules. Ballot position drawing will be held in the Board Room of the Wildorado ISD Administration Building, 1523 S. Locust, Wildorado, TX on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. Should all Candidates be unopposed after the filing deadlines have passed, the Wildorado ISD Board of Trustees will declare the unopposed candidates elected to office and cancel the Trustee Election.
