WPS Elementary Health Study
For those interested in participating on this committee, please apply to Joe Lampman ([email protected]) by email with a brief paragraph of interest, including your school/grade level by Tuesday, December 17th. Please use “Elementary Health” as the subject.
Purpose:
Our purpose will be to explore how to implement a comprehensive health curriculum for our elementary grades (K-5), in accordance with the MA Curriculum Frameworks. The study group will create a recommendation for the 2019-2020 school year.

SO1 - Establish systems and structures that ensure all WPS students receive what they need to develop and achieve their full academic, social, and emotional potential.
Composition of the Team (7 members):
Co-chair - Joe Lampman, Coordinator of Health, PE, and Wellness
Co-chair - Stacy Phelan, Principal Lowell Elementary School
Physical Education Teachers (3 total,1 from each elementary school)
Health Teacher (1)
Elementary Parents (3)
Elementary Nurse (1)
Classroom Teacher/Counseling Staff (1-2)
Participant Requirements:
Participants can expect to meet 1.5 hours from 3:00 - 4:30 PM at the rate of $30/hour for Unit A members. Meetings will be held on the following dates:

Tuesday, February 5th
