Dave Wells, custodial supervisor for the School District of Washington, is the first-ever recipient of the Blue Jay Pride Award.
The Blue Jay Pride Award was introduced to recognize and showcase quality SDOW staff and the focus on the District’s core beliefs. Through peer nomination, individuals are able to acknowledge exceptional staff who positively impact the schools, district and community.
The individual who is recognized each month will be presented with a traveling plaque and gift card.
Wells’ nomination form states the following:
“Dave has worked for the School District of Washington for many years. He builds wonderful relationships with students and colleagues. He collaborates well with his team and he works really hard. Dave is an exceptional person and it shows in his work and his dedication to the SDOW. He supports his people and makes the SDOW a great place to be. I could go on and on about how great Dave is, but I think those who know him and have worked with him already know.”
Wells was presented the traveling plaque by Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Kephart and Buildings and Grounds Director Jeff Solter.
John Freitag of First State Community Bank presented Wells with a gift card to Fastrip.
