Washington High School Softball Player Grace Molitor Named Washington Missourian Athlete of the Week
Washington High School softball player Grace Molitor is the Washington Missourian Athlete of the Week, sponsored by First State Community Bank.
Molitor, a sophomore second baseman, finished the season with a batting average of .412, a slugging percentage of .814, and an on-base percentage of .512 with nine home runs, 42 RBIs, 39 runs scored and 24 stolen bases, all while playing solid defense in helping the Lady Jays to a 34-4 season and a third-place finish in Class 4. Her nine home runs tied a single season school record.
“Grace is a positive role model, a great teammate, and a strong leader both on and off the field,” said Washington Softball Coach Grant Young.
