Washington Middle School held a new student welcome luncheon on Thursday, Aug. 22.
Hosted by the WMS counselors, seventh and eighth grade students new to the School District of Washington were invited to the luncheon during their specific lunch shift. They also could bring along a friend, which some of them did.
The new students enjoyed pizza, fruit and cookies and had a chance to visit with one another.
Overall, a total of 58 students (some brought a friend) participated in the new student luncheon.
