Teaching Careers students competed at the State Educators Rising Conference on Tuesday-Wednesday, March 8-9, where they won several awards.
Abigail Raeker placed first in K-3 Children's Literature and first in the Ethical Dilemma Team Competition.
Emma Lock placed first in Pre-K Children's Literature and second in the Job Interview.
Lindsay Sprung placed first in the Ethical Dilemma team competition and second in the Impromptu Speaking.
Jessica Steelman placed second in the Exploring Noncore Careers competition.
“We are excited for students as they plan to move on to compete at the National Educators Rising Conference in Washington D.C. this June,” said Teaching Careers instructor Jenny Meers. “They will also be leading a professional development presentation during the conference called, ‘Transitioning to the Other Side of the Desk.’”
