Four Rivers Career Center Teaching Careers students competed at the State Educators Rising Conference on Wednesday, March 6, where they won several awards.
The conference was held at Westminster College in Fulton and hosted Educators Rising chapters from across the state.
The FRCC chapter had 14 competitors who made the trip to the event. All 14 competitors qualified for the National Competition in Washington D.C. this summer. Several brought home medals, placing first through fifth, in their events.
FRCC’s Teaching Career medalists are as follows:
Alexis Catron, Victoria Johnson and Isaiah Nytes - second place in Ethical Dilemma
Margaret Unerstall - second place in Public Speaking
Destiny Loehr - second place in Impromptu Speaking
Ryanna Huddleston - third place in K-3 Children's Literature
Mackenzie Reynolds – fifth place in K-3 Children's Literature
Emily Wildhaber – fifth place in Educators Rising Moment.
