Washington improved to 2-0 on the varsity football season with a 42-13 victory at Pacific on Friday, Sept. 6.
The Blue Jays held leads of 28-0 at halftime and 42-0 midway through the fourth quarter before Pacific (0-2) scored two late touchdowns.
It was another dominating performance by the Blue Jays’ defensive unit, who led the way in a 7-6 opening week win over Seckman.
Offensively, the Blue Jays were able to improve upon their performance from week one.
Quarterback Trevor Rinne threw for two touchdowns and ran for another.
Connor Vollmer (30 yards) and Bryce Meyer (29 yards) both had touchdown receptions.
Christian Meyer ran for a pair of scores for 5 yards and 32 yards, and Rinne (4 yards) and Cole Nahlik (1 yard) also had touchdown runs.
The Blue Jays return to action at Warrenton (0-2) on Friday, Sept. 13, at 7 p.m.
