Six individuals will vie for two open seats on the School District of Washington’s Board of Education during the upcoming April 5 election.
There is one incumbent and five newcomers who filed for the Board of Education. Filing closed on Tuesday, December 28.
Incumbent Matt Wilson of Washington filed on the opening day December 7. Wilson is completing his first term on the Board.
Also filing on the opening day were newcomers Kelly Brinkmann and Trish Mitchell, both of Washington.
Filing on the second day, December 8, was newcomer Chantell Unnerstall of Washington.
Filing on the last day, December 28, were newcomers Frank Wood and Maryanne Scanio, both of Washington.
The two board positions will be decided in the Tuesday, April 5, 2022, election. Voters will vote for two candidates.
