The School District of Washington’s Board of Education held a reorganization meeting on Tuesday morning, April 19, at the District Office.
Newcomers Kelly Brinkmann and Frank Wood were sworn in to office after claiming the two open seats in the April 5 election. Brinkmann and Wood begin their first term on the board. Board members are elected to three-year terms.
Dan Leslie was voted in as the new president of the Board of Education. Kevin Blackburn becomes vice president.
Other members of the Board of Education are Scott Byrne, John Freitag and Susan Thatcher.
Julie Bell is the secretary to the Board and the custodian of records. Robin Kluesner is the Board treasurer.
The Board also recognized outgoing members Jason Oesterly and Matt Wilson for their years of service.
