Megan Duncan and Josie Newman recently were recognized as the Washington Rotary Students of the Month for Washington High School and Four Rivers Career Center, respectively.
Megan Duncan is the daughter of Bill and Jeanine Duncan. She’s a senior at Washington High School and is involved in many clubs and activities. She’s captain of the Jaywalkers dance team, President of Renaissance, Vice President of National Honors Society, and also is a member of Student Council, Leadership, Link Crew and Blue Jay Journal Television.
In the classroom, Megan holds a 4.0 grade-point average. She plans to major in journalism in college and is leaning toward attending the University of Missouri.
Josie is the daughter of Doug and Michelle Newman. She’s a senior at Washington High School and is in the Graphic Communications and CAPS Global Business programs at Four Rivers Career Center. She’s also involved with SkillsUSA and Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA).
In the classroom, Josie holds a 3.9 grade-point average. She plans to major in design and visual communications in college. She’s undecided on where she will attend college, but is looking at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
